Add and Document Parts

Start adding + documenting your parts early! Throughout the season you can update your part documentation with new information, modelling data, and/or experimental characterization.

iGEM 2022 is over!

The iGEM 2022 season has ended! The Registry has also been unfrozen, so that users can edit part pages. To see the results from 2022, including which teams won Best Part awards please see the Jamboree Results Page..

Login Error

We have heard from several users that there is an error with logging in and editing the Registry wiki. For now, please use the login menu in old.igem.org to login, and return to parts.igem.org to edit your part pages.

Featured Collection

2022 iGEM Distribution

iGEM has designed and built a new distribution entirely from the ground up with support from The FreeGenes Project and the iGEM Engineering Committee.

The focus of this and future distributions' contents is in improving the quality of the parts and devices, and expanding the types of materials within, through curation, validation, and new interlaboratory studies.

The 2022 DNA Distribution is primarily Type IIS Level 0 parts, with devices for Interlabs in BioBrick format.

Update: Composite Parts

If you synthesized or used a different assembly system to create a composite part, you can now enter specific scars between subparts. If you have any issues with functionality, please contact hq (at) igem (dot) org.

Catalog

The iGEM Registry has over 20,000 documented parts. The Catalog organizes many of these parts by part type, chassis, function, and more. Browse for parts through the Registry Catalog or use the search menu.

Collections

We've updated the Registry part collections. Users can discover new parts and collections and build upon what previous iGEM teams and labs have achieved.
