crp_trigger_5_midtrigger_phi29

crp_trigger_5_midtrigger_phi29 (BBa_K4438909) is a single-stranded DNA having 13 nucleotides. Figure 1A) shows the secondary structure and minimum free energy.

Usage and Biology

The part crp_trigger_5_midtrigger_phi29 (BBa_K4438909) has complete complementarity to the part Aptamer_crp (BBa_K4438900) and blocks the middle region of the CRP aptamer. Figure 1D) Shows the secondary structure of both parts hybridised at 37° Celsius. CRP binds with Aptamer_crp (BBa_K4438900) and displaces the crp_trigger_5_midtrigger_phi29 (BBa_K4438909) [1]. This part has complete complementarity with part crp_Target_5(BBa_K4438910). Phi 29 DNA extension polymerase extends the template strand and in-vitro transcription of the duplex forms multiple broccoli light-up aptamers. Different levels of CRP can be detected using all these three parts.
