Design Notes

pUC19 is an extremely common cloning vector. This particular version is entered in the registry because several parts synthesized by Codon Devices (BBa_P1002, BBa_P1003, BBa_P1004, BBa_P1005, BBa_I50040) were returned in this vector. The parts were returned as the part (including BioBrick prefix and suffix) cloned between the EcoRI and BamHI site of pUC19. The BamHI has definitely been reconstituted. It is unclear whether there are 1 or 2 tandem EcoRI restriction sites upstream of the part. In this part, only a single copy of EcoRI restriction site is included. Sequence information for pUC19 can be found at http://www.fermentas.com/techinfo/nucleicacids/sequences/puc19.txt
