Part:BBa_K316019
Reverse strand coding ComE responsive promoter
This part is the 3' coding version ofthe BioBrick BBa_K316018. ComE BBa_K316016 binds to a specific sequence in a promoter leading to activation of transcription downstream of the binding site. This sequence regulates the ComE responsive promoter in the ComCDE operon. This sequence has been previously shown to be sufficient to drive ComE regulated transcription within S. pneumoniae[http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17328748].
