Part:BBa_K1725080
Promoter (lacI regulated, lambda pL hybrid) with extra Nhe I site
Inverting regulatory region controlled by LacI (Part:BBa_C0012, etc.) The PLlac 0-1 promoter is a hybrid regulatory region consisting of the promoter P(L) of phage lambda with the cI binding sites replaced with lacO1. The hybrid design allows for strong transcription that can nevertheless be repressed by LacI, the Lac repressor (BBa_C0012) (Lutz and Bujard, 1997) and induced by IPTG over a >600-fold range in E. Coli DH5-alpha-Z1 (Lutz and Bujard, 1997) and other lacI plus strains.
This part is identical to Part:BBa_R0011 except that an extra Nhe I site has been added to allow for easy checking for BioBrick insertion using a Nhe I restriction digest
