Convergent Promoter System: Forward Module: rTT+lambda pR

This is the forward promoter for a convergent-promoter tight repression system. It is the strong promoter BBa_R0051 (pR from phage lambda) that is repressible by BBa_C0051 (CI repressor from phage Lambda), with an upstream reverse TT to terminate anti-sense transcripts from its corresponding reverse promoter. The pR promoter drives expression of the coding regions to be tightly regulated. The other module of the convergent-promoter system is BBa_K093004, which drives expression of the antisense transcript and terminates transcription of the sense strand. Coding regions for parts to be negatively regulated are flanked by this pair of convergent-promoter modules.
