mCherry codon optimized for Lactococcus lactis

mCherry protein reporter (BBa_J06504) codon-optimized for Lactococcus lactis. We weren't able to test this part in Lactococcus lactis but we tested in Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli and it works as well. Besides, we found out that growing at 37°C afects the production and folding of this protein resulting in no fluorescence. We recommend growing at 30°C.

This part contains a RBS from Lactococcus lactis that is the target for the regulatory small RNA BBa_K2770006 (https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K2270006).

Excitation: 587 nm
Emission: 610 nm
