Eukaryotic terminator vector (very similar to pSB1AK8)

This vector is originally BioBrick vector pSB1AK3 with eukaryotic terminator added. pSB1AK3 is a high copy number plasmid carrying ampicillin and kanamycin resistance. The replication origin is a pUC19-derived pMB1 (copy number of 100-300 per cell).

It is derived from BBa_J52017. There are a couple differences. It lacks the 3' G in the BioBrick prefix (which should be present to comply with the assembly standard 10). It is also missing an A in the BioBrick suffix between the SpeI site and NotI site (which also should be present to comply with assembly standard 10).

  • RS 19:26, 23 November 2008 (UTC): This part has been split into a plasmid backbone and part and remapped to BBa_K157040-BBa_K157042. BBa_K157040 is the plasmid backbone and BBa_K157042 is the part. The physical DNA needs to be remapped to BBa_K157042.
