Destructin-2

This part encodes a protein produced by Pseudogymnoascus destructans (P. destructans) and is a serine protease. This has been demonstrated to be one of six peptidases that P. destructan uses to degrade peptide bonds to infect bat hosts. The full sequence for this protein includes a leader peptide for extracellular secretion and a putative inhibitory peptide that is cleaved to form the mature protein.
