Part:BBa_K3722001
Fre(flavin reductase)
Flavin reductase (Fre) regenerates FAD to FADH2 using NAD(P)H.
Biology
Flavin reductase catalyzes the reduction of free flavin using NADH to produce free reduced flavin. The reduction of riboflavin by NADPH catalyzed by flavin reductase has been studied by static and rapid kinetics absorption spectroscopies. Static absorption spectroscopy experiments revealed that, in the presence of riboflavin and reduced pyridine nucleotide, flavin reductase stabilizes, although to a small extent, a charge-transfer complex of NADP+ and reduced riboflavin[1].
Usage
Here, we used BBa_K3722004 and to construct the expression system and obtained the part BBa_K3722006, which may achieve surface display of SttH on our engineered bacteria. Due to the limited time, we did not characterize this part. As a result, there is a lack of data about this part.
