Design Notes

CMV Promotor is a viral regulatory element to mediate strong expression of the downstream gene sequence. CMV stands for cytomegalovirus. Because of its strong activity in most cells its a very popular choice to mediate expression of a foreign protein.

The Transfectionvector is according to the BioBrick 2007 part BBa_J52017.
CMV promotor was obtained by PCR by using the Biobrick BBa_J52038 as template.
