RFC12 cMyc Tag Head Domain

This is a RFC12 compatible version of BBa_T2007. It is a cMyc tag head domain meant for N-terminal fusions.

Usage and Biology

cMyc tags are commonly used for detection purposes but not usually purity due to the non-specificity of the antibodies used.

Common tag information:

  • Protein Sequence: EQKLISEEDL
  • Matrix: Monoclonal Antibody
  • Yield/Purity: Fairly low yields and commonly low purity
  • # Steps: One step
  • Fusion Location: N-terminus (C-terminus is BBa_J70623)
  • Affects Function?: Possible, but unlikely
