acaP
A gene from Rhodopseudomonas palustris CGA009 encoding a kind of carbonic anhydrase.
Usage and Biology
The gene acaP in Rhodopseudomonas palustris is able to encode a kind of α-CAs that can speed up the conversion between CO2 and bicarbonate. By the method of acaP high copies, the rate of bicarbonate intake as well as the speed of bicarbonate- CO2 conversion in R. palustris increase and the engineered bacteria is able to take advantage of carbon to produce cellulose.

However, there is a great pity that we have not finished the verification of the function due to rush time.
