Applications of BBa_K1073028

By adding autoinducer N-buturyl-HSL to the media the expression of beta lactamase can be induced. The iGEM Team Braunschweig 2013 used this device in combination with BBa_K1073032 for the construction of BBa_K1073035.

BBa_K1073028 iGEM Team Braunschweig 2013

This device was used for the construction of BBa_K1073035. With this construct in a high copy plasmid (pSB1C3) we were able to induce expression of beta lactamase in E. coli Top10F' when N-buturyl-HSL was added to the media and thus maintain cell growth in complex medium containing ampicillin.
