AHL induced transcriptional unit assembled with a one-pot Level 1 Golden Gate reaction using BsaI type IIS endonuclease.

This composite part, together with K3893026, is a component of the intermediate part [1] to assemble the release system device ([2]) of our Agrobactory 593. It is used to express the lysis protein phiX174 when AHL (bound to to LuxR) is present, a fundamental piece of our population oscillator. release device.

This transcriptional unit is composed of the following standardized parts from Valencia_UPV 2018 iGEM Team [http://2018.igem.org/Team:Valencia_UPV/Part_Collection Part Collection]:

Part BBa_K2656015 is the lysis gene from the enterobacteria phage phiX174 coding sequence. The lysis gene E of coliphage PhiX174 encodes a 91-amino acid (aa) residue protein of approximately 10 kDa that mediates inhibition of peptidoglycan biosynthesis of Gram-negative bacteria membrane.
