For the 2016 Team Rice project, we built a biosensor construct between SoxRS and iRFP713 to fluoresce in the presence of nitric oxide. Diethylenetriamine (DETA) was used a generator of nitric oxide (NO), since a challenge for the assay was from the fact that nitric oxide is a gas in standard conditions.
