MS2 Coat Protein coupled with C-terminal GFP
This is a fusion protein containing MS2 Coat Protein (BBa_K3218006) and C-terminal Split-GFP (BBa_K3657028).
Usage and Biology
MS2 Coat Protein binds specifically the MS2 RNA hairpin (BBa_K3113006).
C-terminal Split-GFP is a protein that combines to a fluorescent complex when in proximity of N-terminal Split-GFP (BBa_K3657027).
This construct was planned to be used to explore the ability to use RNA as a linker between proteins. Following linker should be used: BBa_K3657036. The part with the N-terminal of the Split-GFP planned for the experiment: BBa_K3657030. You can find out more about the planned experiment here: iGEM Heidelberg 2020.
Due to the COVID19 pandemics we did not obtain empirical data about this part.
