MmCAR(Q302E)
MmCAR is a carboxylate reductase. In order to improve the catalytic activity of 5-hydroxyvaleric acid, we decided to mutate the 302nd amino acid in MmCAR to convert glutamine (Q) into glutamic acid (E). By changing the population of the residuals, we evaluated the effect of the mutations on MmCAR catalytic activity.
