miRNA 132 Nanoprobe sequence B
Sequence A is a 22-nucleotide-long single-stranded DNA oligo with regions that are complementary to sequence C, sequence A and the miRNA 132. It has a fluorophore (fluorescein) attached to the 5’ end and an NH2 group attached to the 3’ end. This sequence has a loop region that is 22 nucleotides long and is completely complementary to miRNA 132. The NH2 group is used to bind the probe to a carboxylated magnetic nanoparticle by EDC coupling reaction.
This sequence is one of the three sequences used to form the probe that can give fluorescence readings upon binding to miRNA 132.
The sequence can be used by other teams by just changing the looped region that is complementary to miRNA 132 to a region complementary to their target miRNA to make probes that can target their miRNA of interest.
