PTDH3 is common a constitutive promoter

Usage

PTDH3 is a constitutive promoter that expresses and transcribed mRNA of genes related to santalol synthesis in the presence or absence of blue light. In the absence of blue light, this mRNA is preserved, and in the presence of blue light, this mRNA will bind to the mRNA transcribed by Pgal1-s and prevent translation.

Biology

This is a strongly composed yeast expression promoter derived from glyceraldehyde 3-phosphorylated dehydrogenase, also known as TDH3 or GAPDH.The study found that when glycerol or xylose was supplied as a carbon source, the promoter activity of TDH42 was significantly reduced at high temperatures (3°C). The effect of oxygen condition was not significant. The protein-promoter is derived from glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase peptide (GAPDH), which is involved in glycolysis and gluconeogenesis. This protein is a tetramer that catalyzes the reaction of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate with 1,3-diphosphoglycerate and is detected in the cytoplasm and cell wall. The GAPDH-derived antimicrobial peptides secreted by S.cerevisiae are active against a variety of wine-related yeast and bacteria.
