STS - Stilbene synthase, take coumaryl-CoA and malonyl-CoA and convert them to create resveratrol
Stilbene synthase 6, an enzyme produced by Vitis vinifera (Grape), converts p-Coumaroyl-CoA to trans-resveratrol.
Enzyme activity: 3 malonyl-CoA + p-Coumaroyl-CoA = 4 CoA + trans-resveratrol + 4 CO2
This sequence contains ‘6 His tag’ downstream from the gene, and was optimised for S.cerevisiae using IDT sequence optimisation tool.
