Barnase coding sequence with amber codons
This part contains the coding sequence of the RNase Ba (Barnase) (EC 3.1.27). It codes for an 12 kDa microbial ribonuclease which cleaves single stranded RNA. Barnase is found in Gram-positive bacteria Bacillus amyloliquefaciens.
Usage and Biology
The coding sequence contains two amber codons at amino acid postitions Q4Am and D46Am. this part was used to create a composite part (BBa_K2201407) for further use in a possible positive selection plasmid. Sequence and Features
