SilkTail Strep-tag Stop-codon
This BioBrick contains the coding sequence for part of the MaSp2 spider silk protein C terminal domain (SilkTail) together with Strep-tag behind it and ends with a stop codon.
The SilkTail has been optimized in order to match the translation rate between Bacillus subtilis and Argiope aurantia.
The SilkTail is part of the C terminal domain of MaSp2 spider silk.
The Strep-tag, fused at the C terminal, is used both as a binding tag to use to indicate its production and as a binding component to Streptavidin.

BBa_K1085008 is the same but it has no Strep-tag behind it.
