beta pinene synthase sequence
The beta pinene synthase sequence codes for the enzyme which allows bacteria to convert GPP to beta pinene. This will enable us to modify E. coli to produce beta pinene, which has a pine scent and repels mosquitoes. We will test the presence of the enzyme with a western blot and test for beta pinene repellence efficacy using mosquitos. Sequence and Features
