ADH Actuator; input is PoPS and output is ADH enzyme
This actuator receives an input of polymerases per second from a standard sensor and produces ADH1 (Alcohol Dehydrogenase 1) and ADH2 linked to a 6-histidine tag for any necessary for quantitative assays.
This actuator utilizes a bicistronic RBS to prevent binding of the RBS with any other parts of the coding sequence and to maintain consistency in the transcription rate.
This actuator consists of ADH1, which converts acetaldehyde to ethanol, and ADH2, which converts ethanol to acetaldehyde. ADH1 is activated by the presence of acetaldehyde, while ADH2 is activated by the presence of ethanol.
