Complete Part for ROSE Regulated Kill Gene
This gene is meant to be used as a regulatory gene to prevent accidental spread of any experiment cultures that may be produced, either in the lab or in DIY kits. It works by utilizing a temperature sensitive ROSE sequence that creates a hairpin structure that prevents translation of a tetracycline repressor. This allows for the suicide gene to be coded for and results in the death of the cell. When conditions are above 42C, the hairpin bonds are broken and the tetracycline repressor is now coded, repressing the kill switch and allowing for the continual growth of the culture.
