Part:BBa_M10041
{a~INP˃} | C-terminal displaying Ice Nucleation Protein
Basic Part codes for Ice Nucleation Protein (INP) from Pseudomonas syringae genomic DNA. INP is a membrane-bound protein which allows host cells to nucleate crystallization in supercooled water. INP's have three structurally distinguished domains. The N-terminal domain is responsible for targeting the entire protein to the outer membrane and might be useful as a functional anchoring motif for cell surface protein display.
