Pyruvate Kinase derived from Rabbit Muscle
This part is the 1569 bp long coding sequence of a pyruvate kinase gene variant derived from rabbit muscle (Oryctolagus cuniculus pyruvate kinase, muscle (PKM), transcript variant 1, mRNA)

Pyruvate kinase is a key regulatory enzyme within glycolysis that removes a phosphate from phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) adding it to ADP in the production of ATP and pyruvate. The enzyme is allosterically regulated by both inhibitory and excitatory substances.
We are attempting to use pyruvate kinase to enhance the downstream metabolic production of alkanes.
