This part is composed of a tetR repressible promoter (R0040), a MOCO riboswitch (K902023), and a S7 nuclease gene (K902019). We used this part to test and characterize the kill gene system, and the level of control by the promote-riboswitch system.

Usage and Biology

It is important to identify whether the promoter-riboswitch system can be used successfully to act as an effective kill switch. This is one of the many promoter-riboswitch-kill gene combinations that were constructed to determine the best kill switch system.
