Fructan fructan fructosyltransferase (FFT)

This part is the coding sequence for Fructan:Fructan 1-Fructosyltransferase isolated from jerusalem artichoke mRNA. This enzyme elongates a trisaccharide with the fructose unit of a sucrose substrate into an inulin polymer via the reaction [G-Fm + GFn ↔ G-F(m-1) + G-F(n+1) with m > 1 and n ≥ 1] Works together with part BBa_K899000 (SST). To view the characterization of this part please refer to [1] which is the same as this part but with a "double" RBS containing both the shine-dalgarno and kozak sequence [2].
