LVA Tag in RFC25

The amino acid sequence AANDENYALVA can be fused onto proteins in order to rapidly reduce their half life in the cytoplasm. Responsiveness for genetic circuits can be improved by c-terminal fusions of this short, handy sequence.

This part possesses an RFC25 prefix to facilitate in-frame translation.

Contribution: HKUST 2022

Team HKUST 2022 uses LVA tag for their experiment on the characterization of their degradation system using TEV. HKUST Team 2022 used the degradation system for 2 reasons, to increase output of a certain signal in a shorter period of time, and to reduce color mixing issue. For more information on how HKUST 2022 Team uses LVA tag, refer to the composite part BBa_K4225012 and BBa_K4225019 Note that the sequence is also codon optimized for our chassis, DH5α and the TAATAA sequence at the end of the LVA tag are removed.
