c1 repressor with a very weak RBS on a promoter

The C1 repressor (C0051) for the lambda phage switch system is on the RBS B0031 which in general has a strength of about 13% of the stronger RBS B0034. J23113 is the promoter we have for the repressor. In the lambda phage switch system the repressor binds to an operating region, and shuts down the pr promoter in the system. When C1 is produced independently from the operating region it can be used to turn off the switch system some time after the lytic cycle has been activated.
