Aldehyde Decarbonylase_Y21W, C70I
[http://2011.igem.org/Team:Washington University of Washington 2011 iGEM Team] has designed this mutant Aldehyde Decarbonylase (ADC) to modify the specificity of the wild type ADC so that when it works together with Acyl-ACP Reductase (AAR), it will produce more C13 and C15 alkanes. For more information, refer to the fully assembled brick, BBa_K590058.
Usage and Biology
This mutant Aldehyde Decarbonylase has amino acid changes from tyrosine, Y, to tryptophan, W, at residue 21 and from cysteine, C, to isoleucine, I, at residue 70.
