rcn-OmpR234, device that triggers adherence in response to cobalt.

This device is formed from an assembly of rcn, a promoter whose activity increases with cobalt, and ompR234, which stimulates the curli promoter, triggering adherence. This plasmid can make strains form a biofilm when cobalt is found in a medium. rcn is also sensitive to nickel, but we have not studied this aspect.
