ADH1t terminator

  • The ADH1 terminator (ADH1t) is a downstream regulatory sequence of the ADH1 gene in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, responsible for terminating the transcription of the ADH1 gene. The ADH1 gene encodes alcohol dehydrogenase 1, a key enzyme in the fermentation process that catalyzes the production of ethanol. The ADH1t terminator ensures precise transcriptional termination, prevents transcriptional read-through, and facilitates proper 3' end processing, thereby enhancing mRNA stability and translation efficiency.
