SpyTag-eCPX

The following part codes for eCPX-SpyTag. eCPX or the Enhanced Circularly Permuted OmpX, derived from the native Escherichia coli outer membrane protein X , has the ability to display peptides on both the N- and C- termini, without causing significant reductions in cell viability. We’ve used the aforementioned recombinant outer membrane protein within the SpyCatcher/SpyTag system by genetically fusing it to the SpyTag001 peptide as part of our efforts to create a modular approach to functionalize outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). The part consists of a modified native OmpX signaling sequence (M3-A25), GS Linker (GGSG), SpyTag001, 2nd GS Linker, Flexible Linker (GGQSGQ) and the eCPX protein.
