Part:BBa_K4998048
Antimicrobial peptide
Usage and Biology
This part contains the sequence that expresses an antimicrobial peptide. We took the existing part 2LS1 which has antimicrobial properties against gram-positive bacteria. We added a series of negatively charged amino acids at the N-terminus and one Cysteine near the C-terminus to enhance the crosslinking between two polysaccharides in our hydrogel.
