TRE3G promoter
Usage and Biology
TRE3G promoter is the third generation of Tet system found by Zhou et al. (2006). It has seven-fold more active and 100-fold more dox-sensitive than the original Tet-On system [1]. This is applicable both to tet-on system to tet-off system. Same as the former version, the presence of tetracycline or doxycycline regulates the Tetracycline Response Element (TRE) and downstream promoter expression [2].
In UTokyo2023 project, we used the tet-off system in the project.
