RBS-ATF1
This part is a gene encoding the ATF1 enzyme from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which can catalyze the formation of volatile acetate esters from acetyl-CoA and alcohols during fermentation. This part can be used to modulate the flavor and aroma of fermented products or to produce biofuels. The part also contains a strong bacterial ribosome binding site (RBS) (BBa_B0034) to ensure efficient translation of the ATF1 gene. There are SacI and SalI restriction sites at the end of the ATF1 gene to facilitate cloning into standard plasmid vectors.
