SpyTag-eGFP

Fluorescent protein eGFP connected with SpyTag can be captured by proteins connected with SpyCatcher, playing a role as a signal molecule.

In our project, aiming to utilize the fluorescent protein eGFP as a signaling molecule for antigen detection, we fused eGFP with SpyTag to construct the recombinant protein plasmid pET28a-SpyTag-eGFP (as shown in Figure 1). Subsequently, E. coli was cultured at 22°C for 10 hours after adding 1mM of IPTG and we successfully purified the soluble protein SpyTag-eGFP (as depicted in Figure 2).
