NCED3 promoter

Discription

The plant hormone abscisic acid (ABA) is known for its pivotal involvement in a diverse array of physiological and cellular processes, notably its significant role in responding to drought stress. [1].

Previous research had identified a G-box element involved in the induction of AtNCED3 in response to dehydration stress. This cisacting element is located 22248 bp from the AtNCED3 transcriptional initiation site.[2]

Hence, our focus lies on a critical enzyme involved in the ABA synthesis pathway, specifically NCED3. We have chosen its promoter region as a target for investigating its response to drought stress.

Preperation

After extracting the genome of Arabidopsis thaliana,we designed two sets of primers(need names), one targeting RUBY and the other targeting Bx, to assemble the system.
