sgDNA for Orf3/CraA 30 for A. baumannii
This guide DNA has been designed to work with dCas9 to target AMR related genes in Acinetobacter baumannii . The guide binds 30bp downstream the TSS
CraA (which stands for chloramphenicol resistance Acinetobacter, originally named Orf3) is a multidrug efflux transport protein homologous to the MdfA efflux pump of Escherichia coli. The system has been found in all 82 A. baumannii strains tested in [1] and is believed to contribute to intrinsic resistance to chloramphenicol [1]. The silencing of this gene significantly decreases the MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) for the antibiotic chloramphenicol [2].
