Aromatic Aminoadipate Transaminase (AATA)
This part codes for aromatic aminoadipate transaminase (AATA).
Usage and Biology
A type of transaminase: Pyridoxal phosphate (PLP)-dependent enzymes that catalyze the transfer of amino groups between amino acids and alpha-keto acids Derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae
Expresses in BL21 cells grown in Terrific Broth to yield ~30 mg from a 1L pre-culture of TB inoculated with AATA-PQE81XN transformed BL21 cells with 1mM IPTG at 18C for 16 hours.
Binds with PLP to form a peak at 411 nm.
Reacts with L-phenylalanine as an amine donor.
