Coding sequence for fusion scaffoldin protein (ScfL). This protein acts as a scaffolding for proteins with corresponding dockerin domains. It consists of:

  • Cellulose binding domain - allows strong biniding to cellulose
  • Cohesins 1, 2 and 3 - allow binding of proteins with specific dockerin domains.

Design Notes

FLANKED 5' fusion site: AATG, 3' fusion site: AGGT.
Source sequence was optimized and checked for BsaI and SapI restriction sites using: http://genomes.urv.es/OPTIMIZER/

This part has a START codon at the 5' end of the sequence and no STOP codon at the 3' end because it was designed as a part of a fusion protein. If you want to express only this coding sequence, please add the STOP codon in your design.
