AviTag biotinylation site

AviTag, also known as acceptor peptide is a 45-bp peptide used for highly specific enzymatic biotinylation tag. We aimed to use the Tag to biotinylate the Anchor peptide(BBa_K4658003).


Usage and Biology

This is an alternative to the usual chemical biotinylation technique since our construct consisted of multiple lysine residues and using the chemical biotinylation might have potentially destroyed the protein.
