2x Fd Terminator The fd terminator is the central terminator of bacteriophage fd. It has a strong termination function in our plasmid pMA5 of Bacillus subtilis, and it is used in several common expression plasmids to terminate the transcription of the desired gene. It can be obtained by comparing DNA sequence homology BLAST with NCBI database. We repeat it twice as a strong terminator for the transcription. We use the 2x fd terminator as a strong terminator, in our case we use Veg Promoter to overexpress our protein BvEP to induce plant immunity.
