The 3' end of the sequence is designed to be complementary to the target IFIT1 so that it binds specifically to the target and thus recognizes the input signal.DNA polymerase polymerizes the DNA in the 5'-3' direction starting from the 3' end of the target IFIT1.The probe also binds the DNA corresponding to the target IFIT1.
