SIGLEC1_Target_5
SIGLEC1_Target_5 (BBa_K4612104) is a 30-nucleotide single-stranded DNA sequence that is part of the intercepted portion of the gene SIGLEC1 sequence guaranteed to be specific in vivo in humans. SIGLEC1 has a key role in initial retroviral capture, promotes new CD4+ T cell infections, and contributes to HIV-1 transmission in vivo[1][2]. Therefore, the expression of SIGLEC1 has a role in determining whether it is a viral infection or not, and can be given weight. Figure 1 illustrates the specific function of this component: it binds to the probe as a target, and then the polymerase uses it as a primer for a polymerase-mediated strand displacement reaction. The weighted strand that is replaced is then subjected to a subsequent reaction.
