Connexin43 S368A mut
Connexin 43, or hGJA1[NM_000165.5], is a member of the connexin gene family, encoding a component of gap junctions. They provide a route for the diffusion of low molecular weight compounds from cell to cell. As for exosomes, this protein has recently been reported to be enriched in exosomes and to enhance cytosolic delivery of exosomes to acceptor cells (Soares AR et al., 2015). Its constitutive active mutant, Cx S368A, has been reported to be more efficient as cytosolic delivery helper (Kojima R et al., 2018).
