Human FGFR2

FGFR2 (Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 2) is a cell receptor that is coded for by the FGFR2 gene and is specific to the protein FGF-2. FGF-2 is a growth factor protein that enhances proliferation and differentiation of cells. The 2022 NYC Empire State team fused the sequence FGF-2 to eGFP and transfected this recombinant plasmid into CHO-K1 cells. Using fluorescence microscopy, we validated that the cells expressed the receptor on their cell membranes.
